WEDDING STORY OF WERONIKA & BAILEY

Weronika’s and Bailey’s wedding at Pałac Goetz was a magical celebration of love, combining personal traditions and symbolic elements, like water and woodland, into every detail. With thoughtful décor, meaningful touches, and an atmosphere of love and connection, their wedding became a true reflection of their journey together. Read on for a glimpse into this unforgettable day and details behind its planning.

What was the main idea of your wedding?

The main idea of our wedding was to find a place that felt deeply personal — a place to plant the foundation of our life together, based on true feelings and rooted in our connection with a blend of our traditions. From the very beginning, we envisioned this day as a celebration of our union, shared with our closest family members and dearest friends.

We wanted to create an atmosphere embraced by love, brought to life by music, and enriched with exquisite food inspired by both our cultures. Love, music, and food are universal languages, perfect for expressing what words cannot. For us, it was about creating an experience that could be felt and shared, even by those who didn’t speak the same language.

Describe your wedding atmosphere in three words.

Magic. Joy. Sacred.

Please tell us a little bit about your location for the wedding. Why did you and your husband choose it?

Our wedding venue, Pałac Goetz, felt like it was woven into our story long before we even realized it. The journey of choosing it was filled with a sense of magic and alignment, as though every step was part of a greater plan. After the proposal, we independently searched for venues, wanting to see how our visions aligned. When we finally shared our lists, Pałac Goetz appeared at the top of both — as though destiny had gently nudged us toward this place.

Its timeless elegance, rich history, and connection to my roots made it clear that this wasn’t just a venue — it was a sacred meeting point for the magic of our journey, the love of our families, and the dreams we shared.

Were there personal touches in the decor or ceremony? Perhaps you can recall some details that are important to you.

Together, my husband and I saw our wedding as a celebration of symbolism. We began by reflecting on our individual traditions, infusing them with our own unique twists, and creating elements that told our shared story.

Water is my essence; it is how I feel and sense the world. For Bailey, his soul resonates with the woodland — grounded, serene, and enduring.

It came to us so naturally that nestled amidst an ocean of trees, Pałac Goetz would become our metaphor — where the fluidity of water meets the rooted strength of the forest.

I didn’t want the oceanic theme to feel overly obvious, so my florist and I carefully considered every detail of the décor. We chose to evoke the ocean’s essence through textures and subtle touches that connected to water — soft whites and blues, minimalistic floral installations on the guests' tables, terrace, and in the chapel,  all inspired by the irregular shapes and textures of “floral life rooted under the water.”

Above our sweetheart table, I envisioned a floating floral cloud resembling ocean foam, shaped like gentle waves. One side featured cascading pearls, the other, transparent birds seemingly in flight, complemented by coral reef-inspired arrangements. Irregular vases added natural elegance, while sandy-textured tablecloths brought warmth and cohesion to the refined design.

Every smallest detail became a sacred symbol of our love.

What made your wedding special?

Our wedding day was filled with unexpected moments that made it unforgettable. It began with a government alert warning us to stay indoors due to a storm and extreme heat. Despite the forecast, the rain came as a blessing, a traditional sign of good fortune. By the time the ceremony began, the sun had broken through, streaming through the stained-glass windows and warming our necks as we exchanged our vows. It felt as if nature itself celebrated with us.

We were always by each other’s side from then on, and that was beautiful. It was the key to making the day so special.

Five tips for brides-to-be.

1. Choose the dress that speaks your name

Your wedding dress should be an extension of your heart, a true reflection of your personality in the most special way. It should be the one that makes you feel comfortable and confident, yet undeniably special — the one that lets you shine.
A wise woman once said to me: “Choose your dress wisely, so you’ll feel so sad to take it off at the end of the day.” I couldn’t agree more. Trust your gut feeling and prioritize what makes you feel special — remember, this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Your dress tells a story. It’s your story. The way you feel in your dress translates into your body language, captured forever in photos, videos, and memories. So listen to your heart and ask yourself: What story do you want to tell?

 2. Choose your dream photographers and videographers

I can’t stress enough how important it is to find the perfect team of creatives to capture your wedding day! Your wedding is filled with precious moments you’ll want to hold onto forever.

To preserve these memories, it’s worth investing in photographers and videographers who truly understand your vision and make you feel at ease. Your pictures and videos are treasures that will stay with you for a lifetime, so choose a team that speaks your unspoken language — a team you can trust wholeheartedly. Once the magic is captured, savor it slowly.

Ps. When your wedding video and photos arrive, don't rush to look at them. Make a date out of it – open a bottle of bubbles, light some candles, and relive your day with all its wonder with your husband by your side.

3. Mini-Moon Before the Honeymoon

A wedding brings a whirlwind of emotions, often including the so-called "wedding blues." Pouring all your energy into one big celebration can leave you drained afterward. Balancing personal life, work, and wedding planning can quickly feel overwhelming. Remember, a wedding isn’t the end — it’s the beginning of a new chapter.
By choosing a mini-moon and postponing our grand honeymoon, we eased into newlywed life at our own pace. This approach allowed us to reflect and recharge without the pressure of “getting everything perfect” in one go.

4. Self-care and journaling: nourish your soul and capture your journey

Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but amidst the hustle, take moments for self-care and reflection. Dedicate time daily to nourish your body and soul — whether it’s a walk, a bath, or a solo date. These small acts of self-love will keep you grounded and calm.
Pair this with journaling to capture emotions and memories. Celebrate small victories, moments of joy, and challenges overcome. If writing isn’t your style, try voice memos, playlists, or video snippets. Your journal is a personal space to reflect and celebrate your journey. Together, self-care and journaling will preserve the magic of this transformative time.

5. Enjoy your day: stay present

When the big day arrives, immerse yourself in the joy and let go of any worries. Create a playlist to set the mood as you get ready, stay hydrated, and have a light bite to eat. Avoid last-minute beauty experiments and trust the rituals that make you feel your best.

Above all, stay present. This is your moment to celebrate the love you’ve built, surrounded by those who cherish you. Soak it in, laugh freely, dance wildly, and hold your partner close.

We will be happy to hear about your experience with Milla Nova. Where and under what circumstances did you find the dress? Was it love at first sight?

It had been a few months after getting engaged and I was becoming so eager to find my dress. After a late night of scrolling through Instagram, I came across the dress and it was absolutely love at first sight. I knew this dress had to be mine and I was going to find a way to make it happen.

I immediately went to the Milla Nova website, only to find out the company is based out of Ukraine, BUT the brand itself was scattered around the world. I then found a bridal boutique based in Los Angeles, Viero Bridal, that sold the Milla Nova brand, but not my exact dress. I contacted them and they made the process so easy. The dress was ordered, and it would take about 6 months for the dress to arrive in-store (thank goodness I started looking for a dress right away).

When the day came to try on the dress, I invited some family members to join me. I had them each pick out a dress for me to try on and then I would try on my Milla Nova dress last. As it was meant to be, I put this dress on and knew it was the one. Nothing compared to the way I felt, the floral details and the fit were just perfection.
