The story behind our flagship store in Warsaw, Poland

Our flagship store is located in Lipinski Passage in Warsaw, a historic building dating back to 1899 located on Jerusalem Avenue, one of the city's key streets.

Our showroom occupies three floors of the passage. The building's basement houses technical rooms, a tailor shop, and a showroom itself. The ground floor serves as a display for evening dresses by our subsidiary brand Milla. The second floor is the biggest and is allocated for wedding gowns.

We wanted to move away from the standard aesthetics of bridal salons and create something new, a showroom that would stand out. So we trusted the job to a Ukrainian design studio Balbek Bureau, and gave them the freedom of creativity.

The interior was inspired by the stellar minimalism of Stanley Kubrick's “2001: A Space Odyssey”. The design plays on the contrast between the bride's delicate image and the brutal extraterrestrial landscapes.

At first glance, the design of the space was simple and minimalistic, without complex textures – but this is what made the implementation difficult. Finding the right texture and shades required a lot of effort, so 90% of the custom decor was crafted by the Ukrainian contractor C.I.Form, with all elements made in Ukraine and transported to the site by truck.

The showroom of our evening dresses on the first floor reminds of a distant planetary desert, showcasing Milla dresses against a backdrop of rugged rock fragments, stone panels, and imposing podiums. Inspired by Kubrick's monoliths, the stark, striking elements create a unique, otherworldly ambiance.

Upstairs, the wedding dress area offers a contrasting experience, drawing inspiration from the sleek interiors of intergalactic ships. The space is designed to be both ethereal and inviting, with smoother, more delicate colors and textures.

Every element of the interior is deeply thought through: from the crafted by hand stones texture and black send-beach-reminiscent floors, to lightning with custom-designed pattern and a hidden behind-the-wall small kitchen where we prepare drinks for our visitors.

On the first floor, you'll find three fitting rooms for trying on evening gowns. However, the real highlight is on the second floor, where four stunning fitting rooms await future brides. Let’s take a look?

The largest fitting room with a terracotta-colored wall reminiscent of a Venus planet. Restoring the correct texture and tone of the decorative plaster took the contractors a long time

A fitting room with a subtly cool palette and a soft, star-like glow, creating an atmosphere of celestial chic.

The minimalist fitting room with the natural light from the window facing the street. It’s the favorite one among our clients.

Perhaps the most private of all fitting rooms, this centrally located space is discreetly tucked behind the dome, designed to allow the bride to shine with her radiant presence.

Turning the idea into reality took just six months. We had the kickoff discussion with the Balbek Bureau team in August 2022, and the salon officially opened its doors on March 15, 2023.
