Wedding story of VICTORIA & VICTOR

Wedding story of VICTORIA & VICTOR

September 30, 2025

Victoria and Victor gathered their loved ones at a place that means the world to them — Split’s Villa Dalmacija, lovingly nicknamed the “sunshine villa.” Step into their nothing short of cinematic wedding story, where every detail radiated intimacy, joy, and the magic of family.

What was the main idea of your wedding?

Our vision was to gather our closest family and friends in our favorite destination — Split, Croatia — to celebrate our love. We wanted a two-day wedding so everyone could truly unwind and escape their everyday routines.

Describe your wedding atmosphere in three words.

Like a movie!

Please tell us a little bit about your location for the wedding. Why did you and your husband choose it?

We chose Split, Croatia, as it holds such a special place in our hearts. My husband is half Croatian, and his family has a summer house just outside the city. He’s spent his childhood summers there, and for the past 12 years, it’s been our favorite holiday spot together, and it truly feels like a happy place for us. On top of that, Split’s amazing coastline, great food, and weather made the idea of a destination wedding irresistible.

What made your wedding special?

Having all of our friends and family join us in a place that means so much to us was incredibly special. It was wonderful to see everyone understand why Split is so important to us and to share the magic of Villa Dalmacija, which we fondly nicknamed the “sunshine villa” in the lead up to the wedding. The dinner ran massively over, but it felt so relaxed and intimate, more like a long meal with friends than a formal reception, which made it perfect.

Which dress did you choose? How did you understand it was that one?

I chose the Antuanetta. I knew it was perfect because the lace felt so distinctive — romantic yet modern, with its structured design and corset details

Five tips for brides-to-be.

  1. Trust your instincts when choosing your dress — you could spend forever trying different styles, it is truly overwhelming.

  2. Wear a veil; it’s the only time in life you’ll have the chance!

  3. Take a moment during the ceremony or reception to look around at everyone gathered — you may never have this exact group together again.

  4. Stick close to your partner and make sure you dance the night away together.

  5. Try not to get overwhelmed by the pressure; it’s easy to feel consumed by it all, especially as the bride.

We will be happy to hear about your experience with Milla Nova. Where and under what circumstances did you find the dress? Was it love at first sight? Tell us everything!

I live in Copenhagen and initially struggled to find the right dress after trying a few local shops. I already loved Milla Nova designs and had so many saved on my Instagram feed. When I discovered that Pure Couture in Beaconsfield — close to my family home — carried Milla Nova dresses, I immediately booked an appointment.

The timing was funny — I had just been at a friend’s wedding the day before and was slightly hungover when I went in for my appointment! Still, I tried on several dresses and felt incredible in the Antuanetta. Being a little indecisive, I wanted to try more options, but I flew back to Copenhagen knowing it was a strong contender.

During my second appointment, I knew it was the one, but I wanted to add something a little ‘extra’. I wanted to create two looks for the big day, so the talented seamstresses at Pure Couture helped bring my vision to life. We ordered lace directly from your team to design a custom jacket. The high neck felt unique, and I had never seen this done before. I also had the corset back swapped for delicate buttons. This detail was extra meaningful to me because my late nanny’s wedding dress had the same feature, and it felt like a beautiful tribute.
