Wedding story of Melina and Dimitrios

May 3, 2024

Melina and Dimitrios, wanting to get married in their homeland Greece, shared an intimately sacred ceremony within the secluded church gardens, enveloped by lush floral displays and the mellifluous strains of live music. This seamlessly transitioned into a luxurious yet still cozy affair, adorned with resplendent chandeliers and breathtaking fresh floral decorations. Keep reading to immerse yourself in all the intricacies of their wedding.

What was the main idea of your wedding?

We had a vision of an elegant, luxurious, romantic, yet very modern wedding. To realize our wishes to the fullest extent, we sought out a wedding planner who was a perfect fit for us. With her assistance, we were able to turn all our dreams and expectations into reality.

Please tell us a little bit about your location for the wedding. Why did you and your husband choose it?

It was essential for us to celebrate our wedding in our homeland, Greece, particularly in Thessaloniki, where we have cherished beautiful moments and pure happiness. Therefore, it was clear from the beginning that we wanted to tie the knot there!

Our religious ceremony took place in the open air, next to a small, standalone Greek Orthodox church on private grounds. It was important for us to enjoy this special day in an intimate setting, making this church the perfect choice. We were accompanied by two violinists and a cellist who played our selected favorite songs, adding an emotional touch to the ceremony. Following the ceremony, we treated our guests to a refreshment bar with cold beverages and small pastries.

After the church ceremony, we moved to our chosen venue, which we selected due to its expansive garden area and a small waterfall. The numerous chandeliers and fairy lights created a luxurious and cozy atmosphere throughout the space.

Were there personal touches in the decor or ceremony? Perhaps you can recall some details that are important to you.

One of the highlights of our decoration was the fantastic and lavish floral arrangements with fresh flowers everywhere you looked.

Additionally, our giant heart at the entrance of the venue, completely covered in fresh flowers, made a breathtaking first impression on our arriving guests.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The most beautiful moment of our wedding was when we saw each other in front of the altar. This moment is beyond words.

Traditionally, we did not see each other for an entire day after the pre-wedding celebration, which made everything even more exciting and emotional.

We will be happy to hear about your experience with Milla Nova. Where and under what circumstances did you find the dress? Was it love at first sight? Tell us everything!

As we are quite perfectionistic by nature, every detail of our wedding was of great importance and had to be perfectly prepared and executed. This commitment to perfection was reflected in my chosen wedding dress.

In my search for a unique and extraordinary bridal gown, I found myself at Milla Nova. The decision for my final bridal gown was relatively swift because I desired a form-fitting dress with a touch of elegance and something special for the church ceremony. The combination of glitter, transparency, and the captivating overskirt with wings on the shoulders felt tailor-made for me. To complete my look, I wore a 5-meter-long veil.

My wedding dress can be described as modern, elegant, and simultaneously sexy.

Three tips for brides-to-be:

1. Delegate tasks to the right hands.

2. Don't stress and fully enjoy the day.

3. Celebrate and dance all night long.
