Wedding story of PRICILLA & TIMOTHÉE

July 7, 2025

Model Pricilla Klein and Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Timothée Carle got married in May in the South of France. The wedding blended timeless elegance, heartfelt moments, and a touch of cinematic magic - this couple’s celebration is nothing short of unforgettable. From a castle with a sea view to a mix of cultures and personal touches, every detail tells a story. Read on to discover the moments, memories, and tips that made their day truly extraordinary.

Please tell us a little bit about your location for the wedding. Why did you and your husband choose it?

For us, it was clear we wanted to marry in the south of France, close to where most of our guests live. We also wanted a location connected to one of our roots, near my husband’s birthplace. The venue needed to be naturally beautiful, requiring minimal decoration, as we’re not the type to over-decorate. A sea view was essential, especially since our engagement took place on a sailboat in the Mediterranean - we wanted to bring that same element into our wedding.

I’ve always dreamed of getting married in a castle, to truly have that one day when I feel like a princess. This venue had everything: it was naturally beautiful, had the sea view we wanted, was nearby, and held meaning for us. When we visited for the first time, I even shed a tear because I could immediately picture myself walking down the stairs to the altar. At that moment, we knew it was the right place, and we stopped looking further. It was love at first sight.

What was the main idea of your wedding?

We wanted to celebrate our love, of course, but also to bring together all our friends and families in one place, even though they were traveling from different countries. It was important to us that everyone could experience a touch of each culture, whether through the language, the food, the decoration, or the music. Our goal was for both us and our guests to share an unforgettable moment together, and we think we really succeeded.

It was also very important to me not to follow too many trends but to plan a timeless wedding, one where I can look back in 20 years at the photos and everything still feels just as beautiful as today. Of course, nothing about weddings is truly timeless, because things always change, but overall, I would say our wedding was very classic. While keeping it classic, we also included some modern touches and even broke a few traditions.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Apart from the first look when I walked down the aisle and saw my husband cry for the first time, and when we shared our vows in front of all our guests, I would also add the moment of our grand entrance. Walking into the dinner location with all our bridesmaids and groomsmen to a joyful song, with the sky painted beautifully by the sunset, the sea in the background, and all our guests

radiating so much happiness and energy, was truly unforgettable. After that, we sat down and looked at each other, having our “we made it” moment.

Were there any unexpected challenges or surprises in the planning process or the wedding itself? How did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge was planning the wedding remotely. Living in Poland while organizing a wedding in the south of France without a planner made communication with vendors difficult, and we couldn’t meet them in person. We also had to help guests find accommodations, adding to the complexity.

A key strategy was visualizing everything in Canva, recreating my entire vision to clearly show expectations and avoid misunderstandings, especially with language differences. We relied on close friends on-site to handle tasks and prepared detailed guides for guests. It was intense, but we truly enjoyed the process together.

Five tips for brides-to-be:

  1. Don’t stress too much about the small details. Guests remember the feeling, not the tiny imperfections.

  2. Take a moment during the wedding to pause and soak everything in.

  3. Make the wedding truly yours. Let your personality shine through in the details, the planning, and every part of the day, so your guests can feel and recognize what makes your celebration unique to you as a couple.

  4. Don’t be afraid to show your emotions, because that’s exactly what your guests will cherish the most and remember long after the day is over, and that’s what sets a wedding apart from just any party.

  5. Most importantly: enjoy the journey, not just the day.

What made your wedding special?

The combination of the location, the atmosphere, and the incredible love we felt from our family and friends. It was beautiful to see a mix of cultures, languages, and backgrounds coming together, and the personal touches we added, from the ceremony and music to the small details. It made the day truly unique and unforgettable.

Describe your wedding atmosphere in three words.

Emotional, joyful, cinematic.

We will be happy to hear about your experience with Milla Nova. Where and under what circumstances did you find the dress? Was it love at first sight? Tell us everything!

Before I went to Milla Nova in Warsaw to try on dresses, I had already done a few bridal appointments and really figured out for myself what suited me, where I felt comfortable, and what my vision was. I knew I loved a fitted, figure-hugging style, but also thought the princess look was absolutely beautiful and couldn’t choose between the two. The solution with the overskirt was perfect for me because I didn’t have to decide. I could look like a princess for the ceremony and then like a mermaid later for the reception, and I absolutely loved that. I also didn’t want to change my ceremony dress because I found it so beautiful and special that I wanted to wear it as long as possible, and only switched to a shorter dress later for the party.

I also knew I loved French lace and wanted something elegant, with pearls as well, to tie in with the seaside view. When I saw Milla Nova’s dresses online, I immediately found my wedding dress and knew right away that it was the one I wanted. I went to the store to try on a few more dresses just to be sure, but in the end, it was this dress, the one I had envisioned from the beginning.

Which dress did you choose? How did you understand it was that one?

I chose the Belen dress with a costume overskirt, also from Milla Nova, along with the Atola veil. For the reception, I added the Atola choker, and for the party, I wore the short Askania dress. Both dresses complemented each other perfectly. They were both richly adorned with pearls and had a classic elegance. I know that even in 20 years, when I look at these photos, I will still love these dresses.

I knew they were the right dresses because they matched exactly what I had already imagined in my mind. I even cried during the fitting, which I hadn’t experienced with any other dress, and I didn’t expect that to happen. But in the end, I just knew. It was that feeling, just like with my husband: if you know, you know ;)
